About the Exhibition

overviewFrench cartoonist Frédéric Boilet who lives in Tokyo proposes an alternative style of comic strips. We call them "Nouvelle Manga" in which fragments of daily episodes are used to present reality of life that is a method similar to a famous kind of French movie called Nouvelle Vague. This exhibition introduces French and Japanese "Nouvelle Manga"cartoonists who sympathize with his expression.
