|
To cast metal, much is involved. It is a process by which molten metal is poured into a mold which contains a hollow cavity that can be freely made into almost any desired shape. These casted objects, or imono, taken from any material or shape and replaced with metal, afford the widest possibilities of expression. From large sculpture to vessels such as vases and iron kettles and to fine jewelry, various objects are produced and permeate our society. |
