This exhibition centers on the theme of "observation," focusing on the expansion of direct perception and reception beyond interpretive frameworks such as meaning, context, and causality. Artists whose practices primarily engage fields that do not necessarily presuppose physical objects--such as architecture, video, and music--present their work. At the venue, the Chinretsukan Gallery, the project reconfigures the entire space as a site of observation, moving beyond the conventional framework of "exhibition as display."
