The museum is closed on Mondays. However, if a national holiday falls on a Monday, the museum will be open on that day and closed the following Tuesday instead.
Additionally, the museum is closed during periods when no exhibitions are being held.

The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Please note that admission is allowed until 30 minutes before closing time.

Our museum does not have a permanent exhibition.
We are only open during periods when there are special or planned exhibitions.
Free coin-return lockers are available on the first floor.
If your belongings are too big for the lockers, our reception staff will be happy to store them for you.
While we currently do not have a museum shop, postcards and original merchandise featuring works from the collection are available at the Geidai Art Plaza, which is part of the Tokyo University of the Arts campus.

The museum houses a museum cafe directly operated by Hotel Okura.
(Please note that opening days may vary depending on the exhibition.)
On weekdays, you can also purchase daily bento boxes at Geidai Club located on the first floor of the same building as the museum.

Exit JR Ueno Station through the Park Exit. Walk through Ueno Park, passing the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and you will find our museum ahead.
Alternatively, you can walk along the road in front of the Tokyo National Museum with your back to Ueno Station. The grounds of Tokyo University of the Arts will be on both sides of the road. Enter through the gate with a security guard on the left side, and you will find the main building immediately to your right.
Wheelchairs are available.
If you wish to use one, please inform the reception desk on the first floor.
(Please note that the number of wheelchairs is limited.)
An elevator is available for moving between floors inside the building.
A diaper changing station is available in the multi-purpose restroom on the first floor of the main building. If you need a space for nursing, please speak to the staff at the first-floor reception desk, we will guide you to the designated care space.
There is no permanent exhibition at the Toride Annex.
The museum is open only when special exhibitions are being held in the multipurpose hall.
We plan to change the exhibited works once around spring, when the new fiscal year begins.
We do not offer a waiting list for cancellations.
However, if a cancellation occurs, we will reopen reservations through the booking form.

However, you can use the Geidaishokudo located on the Toride Campus.
